reversepod is a mobile micro-housing unit designed to provide private, dignified, and rapidly deployable housing for people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or transition from crisis to stability.
reversepod brings the structure of housing closer to the flexibility of a vehicle and the dignity of a real apartment.
each reversepod is built from a 40-foot high-cube shipping container mounted on a chassis trailer.
each unit includes two private micro-apartments. each apartment includes a bathroom, shower, kitchen, stove, microwave, refrigerator, bed, tv, wi-fi, storage, heating, cooling, and private living space.
guests are placed into reversepod housing through a partner-supported referral, intake, or stabilization program.
reversepod micro-housing units are in use and can be paired with reversebus services, carebus deployments, and wraparound stabilization programs.
carebus provides services across 5 counties and can be activated with host partners, municipalities, shelters, trustee offices, and community organizations.
