what is carebus?

carebus is a mobile care and resource unit that brings low-barrier, non-emergency support directly to people experiencing poverty, homelessness, housing instability, health barriers, acute need, or trauma-related disruption.

designed for both community care and crisis response, carebus can support first-responder wellness, victims of crimes, fire survivors, mass casualty response, and other situations where people need privacy, supplies, connection, and stabilization.

carebus is a redesigned transit bus equipped with private care bays, basic health support, telehealth access, technology access, a mini pantry, and free essential items.

the carebus platform includes a redesigned 40-foot transit bus with two private care bays, an onboard telehealth booth, an access booth for internet and digital forms, a mini pantry, and an onboard freevend unit.

carebus is designed for community care, crisis response, reentry support, and first-responder wellness. it brings low-barrier, non-emergency support directly to people experiencing poverty, homelessness, housing instability, health barriers, justice involvement, acute need, or trauma-related disruption.
