frequently asked questions

what can i expect overall?

you’ll be part of a caring, upbeat team that loves making a difference! we’ll kick off with a friendly welcome and a quick safety chat, then you’ll jump right into your role—whether that’s stocking our freevend machines, handing out cool water at events, packing hygiene kits, or helping with deliveries. you’ll work alongside enthusiastic staff and volunteers, take breaks as needed, and always have a chance to ask questions or share ideas.

what should i wear?

- comfortable, weather‑ready clothes (think layers if it’s chilly)
- closed‑toe, nonslip shoes for safety
- your reversebus volunteer shirt or badge (we’ll get this to you on your first shift)
- feel free to bring a hat or sunglasses if you’re outdoors!

do you have health protocols?

absolutely! we want everyone healthy and happy. we ask that you:
- wash or sanitize your hands regularly
- when appropriate, use gloves and masks when handling supplies or greeting guests
- help us wipe down high‑touch spots (like lift‑gate controls or kiosks) between shifts
- let us know right away if you’re feeling unwell so we can support you and the team

is there an age requirement?

we love volunteers of all ages! if you’re under 16, please bring an adult buddy along. teen and adult volunteers should feel comfortable following safety guidance and may be asked to help with light lifting depending on the role.

do i need to be christian to serve with you?

not at all! reversebus is a welcoming, interfaith community. whether you follow a particular faith, have your own beliefs, or none at all, you’re warmly invited to join us in serving our communities.
